Husky Legacy of Civic Engagement
Huskies have a legacy of civic participation, whether it’s through voting, community engagement, running for office, or serving as an elected official. In fact, 41 UW alumni are vying for Washington State Legislature in tomorrow’s 2020 election! These candidates include 22 incumbents and are running in 28 different legislative districts. They represent a variety of different platforms, come from various different communities, and pursued a range of different majors during their time at UW. Wonder if a Husky is running your district?
