Fall 2024 Will Bring a Major Legislative Shake-Up in Washington State
New faces will lead Washington state into the future at the start of 2025. Not only will there be a new governor in Washington state as longtime incumbent Jay Inslee is not running for reelection, but there will be significant turnover in the State Legislature with 19 current legislators announcing that they will not run for re-election and several additional representatives running for new positions.
As the elections approach, UW Impact will keep you informed on the issues that matter to students,, alumni, and the University of Washington. Here are some of the ways that we keep you up to date and involved:
- Learn about candidates running for office and hear in their own words how they feel about important higher education issues in our upcoming higher education legislator survey.
