Calling All Huskies: Your 2014 Town Hall Meeting
It’s Town Hall season! Do your legislators know how much you care about the UW? Town hall meetings are a great way to remind your legislators to keep higher education and the UW a top priority.
We at UW Impact have rounded up a list of town hall meetings occurring within the next few weeks. Many are being held in your neighborhoods this Saturday, February 22. Note that some districts are hosting multiple meetings in one day or telephone town halls through mid-March. Please check our handy map – and click on your district from the list – for the address or call-in information for your district.
Don’t know your legislative district? Click here to find it, then check the map linked above.
Can’t attend? Click here to send an automated message to your legislators (simply enter your name and address- no password required) voicing your support for continued state reinvestment in higher education.
Planning to attend? Wear purple and remind your elected officials:
- Last year’s initial reinvestment in higher education froze UW’s resident undergraduate tuition for two years.
- Please continue the trend of reinvestment in higher education to keep the UW affordable for students and families.
- Investments in the UW’s innovative work can result in a big economic impact for our state.
Thank you for standing up and speaking out on behalf of the University of Washington.
